International Honky Tonk

( Naar de Nederlandse vertaling.) ( En Francais.)
This time an appaeal for information about an LP I found at a junk shop titled International Honky Tonk. The LP was the 32nd release for a label called Tele Music. As this is a French label I posted a call on the forum of the Hot Club du France, but so far without any results and a translation in the French language in this blog.
The music seems to be composed by Georges Chatelain and Hervé Roy and it is unknown if they also played the music. The instrumentation seem to be a piano ( piano punaises ), banjo and guitar ( guitare seche ). There are nine tracks - each track has the name of a city ( Paris Honky Tonk - Vienna Honky Tonk - Madrid Honky Tonk etc) and the music is a kind of honky tonk or boogie woogie-like music. For most tracks there are three versions: the complete one, a 30 seconds version and a 15 seconds version.

The complete series of this Tele Music LPs contains more then one hundred releases and they were published by the Tele Music, Paris ( France). The covers all look like the one above, except that mine, ( number 32)( copyrighted 1972) is grey and has the words INTERNATIONAL HONKY TONK.
Is this series used for (amateur) film soundtracks, or has it to do with Tele Music, as described below - an early invention in telephony. In found a story on internet, printed below, from 1916:
Tele-Music. An "industry" rivaling the moving picture business can be created when some genius perfects a means supplying telephone subscribers with all kinds of music from a brass band down to a violin concert. The requisites are that ten or 100,000 subscribers can listen in, all at the same time, without the sound weakening as more telephone lines are put in the circuit. The subscriber must be able to use his regulation instrument. No expensive attachments should be used; only, perhaps, let us say, a low priced horn, quickly attachable to the telephone receiver. The music should he heard loudly all over the room. No expensive nor complicated plant should be used at the point where the music originates. A two-wire line should connect the plant with "central."

I'd love to have more information about this label !!

Nederlands ( To the English translation )

Graag aanvullende informatie !!
